Kilcock Celtic came back to earn three points in Celbridge on Saturday against Ballyoulster United. The Celts raced into an early lead, after Ryan Nolan got on the end of a Alaba Yusuf cross, beat his man in the box and hit the ball home with a sweet strike on his left to make it 0-1 to the visitors. The game was evenly matched with both sides having spells of possession. The away side were forced into an early change when Jamie Kelly was forced off and David Keogh came on. Ballyoulster scored an equaliser mid-way through the first half, after some sloppy defending by the Celts, the opposition capitalised to level the game. Kilcock almost immediately retook the lead after an Eoin Keogh freekick whistled past the post. Calvin Flanagan came close again for the visitors, after some great work out wide by Alaba Yusuf, but his effort unfortunately was off target. Just before half time, a mix up in the Celtic defence was punished once again, and Ballyoulster went into the interval ahead.

The second half began with Ballyoulster starting the half brighter and creating the better chances, but were unable to take advantage. The Celts began to grow into the game once again with the fresh legs from the bench helping the away side to gain more and more possession. Kilcock almost equalised with the influential Yusuf pulling the ball back to substitute Luke Jordan whose effort was saved by the on rushing keeper. The visitors were awarded a penalty after Alaba was clipped in the box by the opposing defender, the same player stood up and slotted his penalty home to bring the game level. Both teams pushed for a winner, and Kilcock were awarded another penalty after Alaba was taken down by the keeper. The forward stepped up once more and placed the ball in the net to win the game for the away side.
